I got an awesome surprise today. My father found a Generac 7550 kW portable  generator used for $350. It's 10 years old that has been garage kept and only used twice. It looks as good as it did the day it came out of the box. I'm really excited because not only did we want to start boondocking and now can do so summer or winter with no worries but I can also use it as a backup for the house. I will try to throw some pictures on here tomorrow
