Hi i have been doing a shower and tanklees hot water heater in my camper. on the power i am short 5 ft of cord so here is Q if i use a extension cord cord for my heater well it be ok my heater is 12.5 amp 1500 watts i was looking at the rating on one of my extension cord it said 15 amp 1800 watts so do i use one for 12.5 amp and would that be ok ?

That would work, but keep it as short as possible. I'd be more comfortable hard-wiring a new, longer cord to eliminate the extension cord.

I was out in the shop looking at it i have a new outlet from the dealer that is to push on the wire with out cutting the wire because the wiring runs right there and it goes to the other outlet i gues i could put the outlet there.

Need help i have no power at my outlets these outlets are GFI i have check the main GFI and it show no power light out all it has a green light and a red and i have check all fuses all them are good before hook up the water heater i had power at the outlet could it be the GFI outlet i put in ?? :-

Got it fix today had to replace the wiring the Dealer give me after that i had power back at the outlet now i have hot water yea 😀
