I'm looking at an ad on CL for a Thetford cassette toilet. It looks to be a "C4 - Fully self contained Thetford bench style cassette toilet with a manual flush pump in place of the toilet roll holder." They aren't making them anymore, so I can't really do a price comparison, but the seller states they sell for $500, and his price is $140. It's very close by, so I won't need to go far to pick up. I'm just wondering if this seems like a good buy, as my husband has called and left a message with the seller. :)...Steve A. I need to get Kermit open in a hurry, as I need to make sure it will fit in the Goucho! LOL...

I have This Thetford Style Potty.  I got it on sale for $99 plus shipping a few years ago.  I looked up the C4 toilet and that looks huge.  Would you be taking out your goucho to put this toilet in?  I have a potty cabinet it is supposed to fit into but I got the taller model for comfort (otherwse you feel like you are sitting on the floor) so I keep mine usually where the table goes if the table is outside or in front of the galley.  I love the portability of my Thetford.  I bring it to Concerts, Sporting Events, and when DS starts to potty train, it will be in the back of the minivan as well.

It does look huge, doesn't it? I was hoping it looked bigger than it actually was, and that it would fit inside the gaucho, so that we would only have to lift the seat to um...use it ;).
Thank you for your reply, and the suggestion. That potty looks like it would fit well, and with two females in the trailer...we need a potty! LOL

I have a cassette in my Bayside.  If I didn't have one already, I'd get a porta potty like Lone Lock has.  That way you don't have to take it with you if you don't want to.
