We research state parks using the DCNR web site and sites like RV parkreviews.com.
When we bought our Niagara a few weeks ago we got 30 nights free camping at a resort campground in Gettysburg and one location each in Ohio and North Carolina. We're visiting Gettysburg this weekend to tour the resort. That really isn't our style of camping, but with our grandson camping with us places like that may offer more activities that he'd like. Besides, why turn down free camping?!?

How do you gather campground information?
First ... where are the best fishing locations. Second ... where's the nearest (unless right there) camping area. For the very most part I've found the national forest campgrounds best for what I do and they are easy information to find out about.
On rare occasion have used the p'up as a motel room when visiting. If this happened to be in the country and there's room on the property, great. If not, the nearest C/G.
