We primarily camp within the state of Pennsylvania due to a self imposed driving radius. As our 2 year old son gets older we will start to expand our radius.
I did go to Virginia for the Boy Scout Jamboree last summer, but that was a solo run. My SIL and BIL are moving to Arizona in a few years. I already told DW we will do a 2 week cross country road trip to visit them.

we love camping out of state! ;D
one reason is that other states' campgrounds often have hookups available at lots of sites, Oregon being one of them.
while, in California, less than 1% of state campsites have any kind of hookups. and those few are reserved almost year-round.
we have no problems camping in other states, that's why our trailer has WHEELS! if we wanted to stay in one spot, we wouldn't have bought a trailer, we would just rent a cabin.

forgot to mention that we've camped in 7 other states and plan to add a few more on a Canyons Trip next month.
We don't often camp out of state because Pennsylvania has a lot of beautiful state parks and almost that have camping have a decent number of sites with electric.
There are some state and county campgrounds in northern New Jersey we want to check out. Other than that, Ohio is the only other state where we've camped, when we went to Kelleys Island State Park.
