What decorations do you put out at your campsite, we hang bass tacky lights and or family 'Gone Fishing' sign?  I'm not sure how to post pictures but will try later.

I have a camp sign, tacky lights and a purple twisty thing from the Dollar store.

We were shamed into getting some tacky lights a few years ago by JoeCamper. Before that we didn't bring any decorations  🙂

Now we do the lights and the CanvasCampers flag (of course)  ;D

I decorate... a lot. Not as much as I use to when I had the tiki theme with bambo poles and place mats, pineapple table clothes, parrots, 12v blender, tiki god lights, torches, leis and more.

We rarely put out anything.  Sometimes if we have a site with hookups, we will put up tacky lights.  But mainly just put out the MAC sign. (I don't have a Canvas Campers sign yet)

for normal camping, just our sign, and one assortment of our several awning lights. (rope light, hanging light, clip on light, etc)

if it is near a holiday, or the CG is hosting special events ( like pirates weekend, luau, etc) we will buy simple decorations, that are easy and/or disposable.

Small solar powered lights is my norm.  However, the Roamer was all decked out with lights and bows on Thankgiving a couple years back.

DH has assorted wooden signs. We also have the C.C. flag. We have fishing lights although I do wish  they were bears.

We have our owl sign, owl lights around the awning and rope lights under the awning and inside the screen tent.

Our camping has always been a cabin rental, but this year we'll have our Apache, so I'm planning on bringing the flip-flop lights I bought end of the season last year, and we have a wooden sign the SIL gave us. I usually keep it out by the back door, but it can travel with us lol. I need to see about getting one of those Canvas Campers flags  🙂

we hang a camping flag with a wood dowel from the awning, tacky lights..always..our family name sign and if the campground is having a theme weekend, we decorate for that with throw away stuff. I always have red, white and blue for July 4Th with lights, stars, table clothes. For us it depends on how long we camp too. Its extra stuff to store, extra time to put up and take down.

I see alot of this and some may not agree or be down right angered by my response but I really dislike all the campsite 'decor' I see in natural campgrounds. Defeats the purpose of camping. As I said, its just an opinion. To me, all the 'gitch' and clutter looks just like that: eye sore clutter.

That is why they are called Tacky lights.  I like them.....but then again I brought a cocktail waitress in a Dolly Parton wig to the Senior Prom  😛

I haven't heard Trashy Women in years, I used to love Confederate Railroad. Now I have to spend some money on iTunes. Thanks

Best Regards,

I used to decorate with an electric palm tree, which has hit the dust.  Now it's just picnic table covers and maybe tacky lights if we are in a spot for more than a few nights.

We wrap rope lights around the awning supports with a strip of white along the awning which throws a nice light under the awning.  We also put up a Mid-Atlantic Campers sign and depending on how hard the ground is, an American flag on a rotating flag pole a good friend made for us.

I think we have a lighthouse hanging mobile, but its buried somewhere in the camper.

On the trellis we use to hang our family sign, we can clip on a whirligig that is supposed to blow with the wind (questionable though:turtle:) and a "pinwheel" that sticks in the ground. We used to have two, but strong winds wrecked one. We also use rope lights all around the camper; but since we got one of Fire Captain Jim's RV Nite Lites, we really don't need the rope lights but still use them until we turn in -- them the RV Nite Lite takes over on its own.

(There are still some of the RV Nite Lites available. I took them to a Florida rally for Jimmy, and he still has them for sale @ $20 plus $5 shipping or you can meet him camping and save on shipping.)

I love to see everyone's lights/decorations. A lot of different personalities out there. Your decor shows that.
