Our clothes are always in the way while camping and since there isn't cabinet space for them, where do you keep them?

What do you pack in and where do you storage them while camping?

I chose "other" because we use Plastic Rubbermaid totes to carry our clothes (and food) to the  Hybrid and then transfer them to the wardrobe (and pantry).

Up until this year, we would either use suitcases or duffle bags.  This year, my DW found some fabric drawers that fit beautifully on the bunk end shelves.  We've only used these for 1 weekend trip, but they seem to do the just pretty well.  We'll see how they work for a longer trip come June.

Duffles. When I was a kid, we camped in a hard sided trailer. We were each alotted one wash basin to put our clothes in. We always had a jacket and mud/wet shoes in the camper in a closet. The dish pans fit into an overhead storage compartment.

We use the plastic totes as well.  We normally dont set the table in our pup up.  Only if it rains and have to move indoors.  So we slid the totes under the table or bed.  Or we store them on the beds if inside because of weather.

Plastic totes that are actually stackable drawers. DH gets one and I get one. Works great for us.

We were using luggage, but just bought a set of plastic drawers. Will see how it works.

Duffel bags.  You're camping, not on the fashion runway.
FWIW, I don't even shave when I camp.

We go with the luggage/duffel bag combo -

duffel bags for the biking clothes, luggage for the normal clothes.  As to where to put them in the camper...we're lucky, 2 king size beds and 90% of the time it is just the two of us. I call the one bunk my "crawl in" closet  🙂

When it's just the three of us, the duffels stow in a metal shelf system over the shower enclosure (which is rarely used, since we go to places with shower houses.) Memorial day weekend, our son will bring a friend and then the clothes may or may not stay in the TV - just depends on weather and how much indoor activity there is.

Who's laughing at paper bags?  ;D

I use plastic grocery bags to subdivide clothes, then shove them into duffel bags or something. Last trip I shoved the bags directly into our pathetic excuse for a wardrobe, one bag per person. It's 5" wide.

I need to work on that....

In our NTU HTT there is a wardrobe with a hanging rod.  I whipped up some shelves for it and now my DW, DS and I each have a 12" high and 22" deep shelf for our goodies.  Can't wait to go camping!!!  Only 2 weeks until the first trip.

As one of six kids, we used a bubble carrier on top of the car when camping and we each had one paper bag for clothes.  :omg: :hah:  That was many many years ago.

We use a duffle bag. DH and I can share one large bag. DD OTOH needs at least four whenever she's packing for a trip. LOL! My kids got tired of hearing me say to pack one long sleeve and one long pants, underwear for each day and then to pack 1/2 shorts/shirts for the number of days we were staying.

I use luggage.  I find it easier to open up the whole side of the suitcase to find things rather than to look through a duffel bag

Where do I keep my clothes....on my bunk, just like in a tent, you sleep next to your stuff.  I have a King and a double.  2 people can sleep on a king with a suitcase and other misc stuff on the edge.  The double can easily have 1 adult and their stuff.  If you have more people, then just throw your suitcase or paper bag under the table.

My BIL (camped in a TT as a kid) always says the same thing, there is no place for your clothes in a popup  >:(  Yes, I don't have a dresser to fold my socks and shirts neatly and organized.  But I live out of my suitcase when I am in a hotel so whats the difference?
