Do you get nervous the first time you open up the pop-up after winter?
Any horror stories or critters found.

Always a little nervous, but no horror stories and never any problems. When I winterize I go over the entire underside of the trailer and check every opening where wires or pipes go through the floor. I want to be sure that everything is sealed.

When we bought our Flagstaff in '07 that was one of the first things I did, and I found a good number of spots that either weren't sealed or weren't sealed well enough. A can of spray foam, some copper wool and caulking took care of it.

Dave,
I didn't have to worry about it last winter.  I bought my Pup in WV just before Thanksgiving.  I drove it back to NC and we camped at least a few days every month up until I moved to WA this summer.

I live in Florida so don't winterize, I get to camp whenever I can plus my Cat is not allowed in the Pup and "camps" under it or on top of it daily, I don't even get Lizards in it! 8)

Always nervous.  Have never had problems, but know that our luck won't keep up for too long.  We both have a bad feeling that this spring will bring consequences that, according to the law of averages, are long overdue.

I store and haul my tent camping gear in an old pop up camper which has had the canvass removed and been gutted to be used just for this purpose. I too use a full box of drier sheets spread in between my gear and scattered all around the trailer. In my experience the only year I had mice get into my stuff over the winter was the one year I didn't put in the drier sheets.
