Have you ever tried to explain to co-workers or others who don't camp, why you love it so much? You sleep outdoors (sorta) regardless of the conditions. You sit around a campfire, staring at each other or maybe nothing. You cook like cavemen. You set it all up and it seems like hours later are packing it all up - and love it. 😀
I know the feeling. I work in Philadelphia and most cannot understand why I would want to go where there is no sidewalks. You dont even want to talk about hunting with them. They dont get why I would sit for hours at a time in one spot and not see a thing all day besides trees. I just tell them the trees and a better view than the one from my window in my office.
I think in a odd way I'm glad the rest of my family doesn't like to camp.. that leaves more camping space for me where ever I do want to camp. Strange that my mother and I had this very conversation today. She just doesn't get it. My "camping family" and I plan and enjoy wonderful meals :chef:, laugh and joke sitting around the campfire, enjoy riding the Baja Mini bikes, and all share in taking care of the canine troop that love to camp too. :dog: :dog: :dog: Life is good camping!! 🙂
Jeep and Harley have sayings...
"It's a Jeep thing"
"If you rode one, You'd understand"
What would the equivalent be for campers?...
"It's a Back to Nature thing"
"It's about unplugging from the world"
"It's how I keep my mancard current" (no offense to the female campers)
