I have a heated barn that is a great place to store it for the winter. there isn't any animals and it has a wooden floor. She stays nice and comfy.
Sounds better than my house! Can I move in?? LOL
I rent a spot at a "sort of" local storage facility. For destinations north, it's enroute. For all others I have to go pick Roamie up and then backtrack. That'll be how it is until I get a spot clear in the backyard and the gate operable.

It is better than my house. My grandfather built all the barns on our farm. He definitely took care of them better than the house. This particular barn was the last one he built, he was in his late 70's and did it all by himself. He used it for his Lionel train collection. The upstairs of the barn was all laid out with track and trains. Anyway, you knew where his priorities were. 🙂
Mine's in the garage, under my bedroom.

That mine is a great way to store stuff! I especially like the no winterizing part...
There's a place not too far from us that offers storage in some unused poultry houses (very well cleaned, from the looks of it) at very reasonable rates. The only problem is that they put the boats and campers in and take them out in March & April. You can't access them once they're in and can't get them out before the scheduled date. I guess they pack 'em in as tight as possible.
Ours overwinters in the same spot it spends the rest of the year, right behind the house on gravel with cement pads under the tires. The tires get covered and it gets tarped after it's winterized, but no difference otherwise.
