I like to get the basics set up right away, raise the top, bunks & utilities done 30 minutes or so. After that there is no hurry, DW gets the inside set up, we meet the camp neighbors, pop a top or two, walk the dog, check out the facilities, set up the camp kitchen, pop another top and so the day goes.
Our goal is to relax not rush.
We're right there with Nimrod. That describes our process too. Depending on the length and purpose of the trip (weekend getaway to week-long destination "sleep-only" to week-long leisure), the additional stuff can take about another 30-90 minutes. The first two types being closer to 30 additional minutes, the latter being the longest since we usually set up the screen tent and have brought bikes and other entertainment.
It takes us about 45-60 minutes to get everything set up and squared away. We've developed a good (for us) system where we back in, level, DW hooks up the shore power, switches the fridge and opens roof latches while I remove straps from the kayaks and move the TV. We get the 'yaks off the roof, open the roof and unroll the awning and get that set up. Once the beds are pulled out, she takes care of the inside work while I do the outside.
Packing up takes at least twice the time since we do a few things, get distracted by something, come back and do a few more things, decide to take a walk, come back ... 😉
