Dawn and I had our camper at the dealer for some small warranty repairs. We just picked it up yesterday, pulled the battery and put the Adco cover on her. She was already winterized. Apparently we did it not a moment too soon -- there is the possibility of significant snow for our region in a few days.

So, she is officially "put to bed" for the winter and sitting there looking all sad -- kind of like a dog looks when you leave them alone at home. A trailer should be out at a campground with a fire near it, not sitting in a cocoon. . March seems so far away right now. 🙁 Oh well.

Overall, our 2014 camping season was pretty good -- we ended up at Lake Champlain for a few days, Arcadia National Park for a few more and St. John, NB Canada. We are very happy with the new TV and trailer combo we go this year and can't wait until next season! The new Jayco X23B trailer is perfect for us -- nice and comfortable, but not so comfortable that we don't want to enjoy the outdoors.

Looking forward to the 2015 spring opener!

Not what I was expecting from the title.  In my mind I had "National Chilli day" or "National Talk like a Pirate day".....I figured it was National "Melancholy Day".  Incidentally, today November 24, 2014 is National "use even if the seal is broken" day.

Yes, Parking the camper is a sad time.  Why don't you come camping with us in January at French Creek? Note to self....start that thread.

I hereby declare the day after the closing rally National Melancholy Day. 🙂
If this winter is anything like last winter, I think our trailer will be frozen onto the parking pad until March.
