Any cooking we do is performed over fire, in a dutch oven, or on a propane stove. I just took out a drip coffee maker that was taking up space in a cabinet of the PUP...we usually use a percolator over the stove. This way we can go camping wherever we want, regardless of the ammenities available to us. I enjoy being self-sufficient. Having said that, to each their own. If having a toaster and microwave will make your camping experience more efficient and enjoyable, then so be it! Just get out and camp!

When we had our pups we found we didn't use the microwave much at all and right after I bought the toaster oven so the boys could cook their pizza rolls, they quit taking them. It was never used. We did however use the coffee pot every time and kept it on the picnic table in the screen room. I say if you have them to take them along and see if they are useful. We have them both in our HTT and do use the microwave but the toaster oven is still stored and never been used.
