yea happened to me on a memorial day weekend once, campground was overflowing, i had reservations for months.......when i got there i had to do some off roading in the revcon on some of the not so good overflow campsite roads......not one site available.......i got the manager, he directed me to park near the pool and hook up water and electric there.......ended up getting stuck in the mud, maintenance was putting stone around my rear wheels (it's front wheel drive lol) ended up having to use a farm tractor to get us out.
spent one night next to the pool, next day the manager kicked someone out of a full hookup site that did not have reservations, brought us two bundles of firewood and a smores kit for my kid.

lincolnmania - that nice that even though they messed up with the reservation that they tried to make it up with the firewood and smores kit. I'm curious if you've gone back to that campground.
yes i went back a bunch.......it's an outdoor world resort, one of my favorite spots
i have not been camping since i started my own business in 2006 (too broke to take a vacation) i'm still broke, but i gotta get out of here to keep my sanity lol
In Oklahoma they are just now getting the online reservations set up, so yes we camp quite often without reservations. So far we have only ran into bad luck once. Ended up having to take a site with out hook ups, but that didn't deter us, even with a dead battery we stayed and enjoyed the weekend!!!
