These are places I've kayaked:

Auburn Dam - 5 miles from Cabela's (we will be there next weekend for the 4th)

Marsh Creek State Park - great lake - night access available, a group picnics and kayaks every full moon.

Blue Marsh Lake

Delaware River - there is a free shuttle over the summer in the

Brandywine River - you can kayak right from the KOA

Schuylkill River - (Auburn is part of the river)

Lackawanna State Park - beautiful lake

Promised Land State Park -

French Creek State Park - 2 lakes to choose from, Hopewell Lake is larger.  (kayak rental also)

Lake Jean, Rickett's Glenn State Park - high on the mountain and cooler water.

I canoe at Promised Land,  DWGNRA,  Tobyhanna SP, Rickett's Glen Lake Jean (currently drained).  I'm getting bored at camper glamping and may revert back to hardcore canoe camping in the near future.  I am currently going through a divorce and family camping is not going to happen for sometime.
