During the winter there is not much camping going on.  The next best thing to camping is going to an RV show.....or talking about all of the cool camping and outdoor items you got for Christmas!!!!

I got a vintage camping calender.  It has pictures of old camping scenes.  Pretty cool.  A t-shirt with a picture of an RV on it and a Christmas ornament from my son that says "Daddy and Me 2013" and has 2 pairs of boots, big and small 🙂  My son got a children's geocaching book and a toy RV.....but he said he would let me play with it as well  ::)

Santa brought lots of goodies, but nothing for our collective camping pleasure.

DS#1 did get some individual camping gear that he'll need for Boy Scouts since he crosses over this spring - Canteen, Compass, Mess kit, SS nesting utensils, binoculars, small LED flashlight, pocket chair and some microfiber towels.

...an unusual visit from camping friends we met one time at the TrailManor Dixie Chapter Trailblazers rally in Tybee Island a few months ago. Joan and Earl live in NW Florida but have a son who lives about 5 miles from us here in NW Georgia. They came for Christmas and we had a nice "reunion" for lunch today. Thanks, Santa, for the good things in life: Friends!

Santa brought me a few small items for the outdoors like a knife and a hiking pole.  However my Sister got me a sleeping bag!!  The sleeping bag was perfect and fit every need I had and then some, but the description glossed over the fact that there was no padding on the bottom, that you have to use a sleeping pad with it.  That wont' work so now I'm on the hunt for a good sleeping bag. With her money at least! lol

Santa didn't bring me any money towards my camper fund, so I'd better make this sleeping bag work if the roof doesn't make it through the winter!

@MariskaHargitay-
Did she get you a Big Agnes bag?

Yup.  I loved the hood but I don't need a pad since I have a camper or use an air mattress in the tent.  I'm cold all the time so no insulation on part of the bag isn't an option.  I think I can learn to sleep in a mummy so I think my problem is solved.

My brother's gift just arrived today, 3 pair of hiking socks and a hydration bladder for my daypack! Woo!

MtnKube- Great gift!
