Planning our first trip on next season, looks like early April. When do you start again and have you booked or planned anything?

I have a trip planned for January....can't wait :thumbup: But that is because I LOVE the winter and the cold. Of course DW and DS will be staying home that weekend. I will probably think about going with the family in Late March/Early April.

Nothing planned yet. That trip is one that gets planned a week or less in advance. We try for late March, but the weather doesn't always cooperate. This year we were into May before we got out, thanks to a very, very wet spring.

My first trip of the year is always the 2nd week of April. We go to Monongahela National Forest in WV for fly fishing on the Cranberry River. We park at the end of a 7 mile dirt road and then mountain bike in 7 miles more pulling trailers with all our camp and fishing gear for the weekend.

Booked the other day for late April. As our boys get older (they're now 14 & 16) it's harder and harder to find early spring dates that don't conflict with school events (formal dances, AP exams, etc.), though I just realized that our 'season opener' will be the weekend before my spring semester finals - hope I can find the willpower to make time to study while camping 🙁
