I love Big Lots... it get lots of camping stuff there. And this weekend's even going to be better! Big Lots is offering 10% discount off entire purchas with valid military ID. The note does not distinguish between AD, Reserve, or retired.

We stock up on needed items at the dollar store. Not usually food but, items that went missing or needed to be replaced. We did our initial issue at the dollar store and spent $34 (mostly kitchen items and first aid). I bet it would have been 3x as much at any other store. Not only is is cheap but we are only out $1 if it gets lost, stolen, broken, maimed or, otherwise!

One just opened near us and we have found some good deals.

Big Lots is good with some good deals. But the Dollar Store is great for stocking the pup with utensils and supplies. Dw is the manager of our local store.

I'm definitely not knocking the dollars stores. Roamie's got LOTS of dollar store things. Big Lots has provided me with 3 Zero Gravity chairs, numerous totes and other higher dollar items.
