Received an email about a 'travel trailer sharing marketplace'.
It is a website that matches renters to travel trailers.
All I can say is: 'Been there, done that." although with online classified ads.
Everything went well until one of my 'customers' drilled holes in the aluminum skin roof of my tent trailer to mount a bike rack. Never again! and lesson learned.
For more info on this see here: https://wheelestate.ca/
For my American friends the ".ca" is generally for Canadian websites.
Happy camping.
Why would someone think it is OK to drill a hole in your roof to mount a bike rack?
When I rent a house at the beach if I put a scuff mark on the wall they are charging to paint the whole room over again.
I can't smoke in a rental car or I pay extra for cleaning....same for the house rental.
Did they leave the bike rack on the camper when they were done or did they remove it and just leave a hole?

Lone Lock,
To answer your questions:
1. He wanted to bring bikes along and had a bike rack.
2. Renter caulked the holes and painted the small section white to match the rest of the roof. They kept the bike rack because it was theirs. I do not think he realized the roof was aluminum skin. Good thing was he told me when he brought the tent trailer back, I may of not noticed otherwise.
We do not have this tent trailer now, it was Fleetwood Sedona.
Happy camping.
