Does anyone else like to set up and then try Dean Martin's Watching the World Go By? We like to arrive, set up on a Friday evening early and then sit down in our favorite chairs with a cold beverage and wait the show.
The husband and wife team trying to work together backing the camper into a tiny site.
The new camper... you can just tell.
The pile of canvas and poles intertwined with the screaming air pump soon to follow to fill the air mattress.
Do you sit and watch sometimes?
My favorite are the Group that has arrived for their camping adventure, the tent and supplies still in the original boxes....
I can here the words now: "These directions are WRONG, there is no way it can ....."

Ooooohhh yeah .... original box campers .... or as I call them Virgin Campers... they are the funniest....
Had some beside us the one time years ago when we went to Niagara Falls and stayed at the King Waldorf cg ... we were still in tents at the time... Well this nice family of 4 show up at about 8pm (in early July) and start to set things up ... everything still in it's box, some of it looking like it was just bought.. They set up pretty quickly and decided they wanted some popcorn and a fire... well they pull out a brand new electric bbq starter... this is going to start their fire... while they huff and puff on the all the news paper they have stuffed under some logs trying to get them to light I hear a noise that was worse then fingernails across the blackboard... they are using a hot air popper for the popcorn ... inside the tent... (all sites have electrical outlets) ... After 30 minutes of watching them struggle to get a fire going, I put on the welding gloves reach into my own fire and carry a nice flaming log over to them .... they were greatful enough that they shared their popcorn and beer ...
I have never done this really while camping but I used to work for Disney and could go to the parks for free. My roommate and I used to go to frontierland to play checkers and watch people. It was interesting to watch and listen to their conversations.

Absolutely! I always enjoy watching the variety of rigs and setup "shows" that happen. It's great free entertainment.
I've also gotten very used to being watched. Since we have always had very small and uncommon campers, we are normally a CG tourist attraction. The motorcycle campers that we used to have always got lots of attention.
While packing up on the Sunday of the Raystown Rally, a family pulled in with a Cruise America rental RV. When I say pulled, I mean pulled and not backed into the site. He then proceeded to run the electric around one side of the camper and the water hose around the other side. The worse part of it was that the beautiful view of the lake was behind the camper. :hah:
