This show is the biggest one Northeast of the Hershey RV show that I know of.
Three of the largest buildings and The Eastern States Exposition (Big E) are filled with RV's and accessories and CG's. All inside.
For those of you who don't know, The Big E is the site of the eleventh ?? largest Fair in the US.
The RV Show will be Saturday 16 Feb 13. http://www.springfieldrvcampingshow.com/
There is a link on their website for a $2.00 discount, make sure to print it out.
We will have a group dinner at On The Border Mexican Restaurant in West Springfield following the show, usually about 6:00.
We will meet up around 2 pm to gauge where everyone is at with the show. We met at the NAFCA booth last year and it seems as good a place as any to meet again this year.
For any newcomers, the NAFCA booth is usually at the back of the Mallory Building.
There are several Hotel options. The ones that we prefer are either the Marriot Residence Inn or the Red Roof Inn as you don't have to drive after dinner, both are in walking distance.
For those of you not familiar with this area, here are some nearby attractions:
Basketball Hall of Fame
Springfield Armory National Historic Site (My Dad worked there when it was operational)***
Dr. Suess National Memorial Historic Garden (Theodor Seuss Geisel grew up in Springfield)***
The Quadrangle (Springfield Science Museum - George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum) ***
Lyman & Merrie Wood Museum ( Indian Motorcycles and a Rolls Royce on exhibit) Rolls Royce made cars in Springfield from 1921 to 1931 ***
***These are all within walking distance of each other.
There is also the Yankee Candle main store about 35 min from this area.
We currently have [s]22[/s], now around 40 total including another site attending this non camper rally.

Count us in! We are making a family weekend out of it my wife and kids are coming 😀 we will do show, we will join you for dinner ( total of 4 that's 2 adults 2 children). I booked a free hotel room courtesy of country inn and suites its about 10 miles away from RV show I had 1000's of points for that hotel chain. I was dying to use them. Sunday morning we will head over to the basket ball hall of fame my son and wife are huge basket ball fans. Then we will head back to NJ in the afternoon. Other than camping I cant think of a better way to spend valentines weekend with my family and friends
I didn't remember that it took them 15 years, just that they got tired of getting a ladder to get the ball out.
Guess it delayed the flow of the game a bit. ;D
Springfield College is the location of the former YMCA camp.
There was a small museum on campus before the Hall of Fame was built.
This one is the second one built in Springfield.

Has majors in health sciences and athletic teaching.
I'll try to remember or at the least coerce JoeCamper to take some pics at this one. 😉
One other trivia bit, Mike Sculley-One of The Simpson's producers grew up in West Springfield, next to Homer's home town. ;D
