Okay folks, here are the rules for the drinks contest:

Run by: Pete & Phil - we'll be 2 of the judges and will be submitting a drink, but it will be disqualified from the judging. We need at least 2 more people to judge.

Time: 9PM Saturday night  Location:  Judging table TBD, most likely at the common site. It will be marked so no one will be confused

1.  All drinks must have a non-alcoholic and alcoholic version, OR the contestant can submit two separate drink recipes, one of each.
2.  Contestants should be prepared to make a presentation version for the judging - Remember appearance is a big part of the judging. We want you to share your drink with the fellow adults from the rally, but we don't expect you to have glassware or full presentation for everyone. We will provide small paper cups for you to share the drink with others.
3.  Cups and entry forms can be picked up at our site Friday night and Saturday morning.
4.  The entry form will ask for name, site #, name of drink, and the recipe.  Contestants must provide the full recipe. (in case there is an ingredient in it that someone is allergic to.
4.  Judging will be on: presentation, creativity, taste, and drink name.
5.  Categories of drinks:  shots/shooters, martini/mixed drink, punches.
6.  1 prize will be awarded per category.

Like I said, I was thinking of doing a meatloaf....or a meat hand.  I bought the stuff and experimented today.  It came out pretty good I think.

Don't wait forget to get a costume for your kids.  (and yourself if you want).  My son is all set for the camping trip.  I need to double check on his cousins who will be with us as well.

I'll be bringing "Fruity Fall Delight Desert" or "Candy Corn Delight" (same dish, but I can't decide on a name... )

I'll also take one for the team and volunteer to help judge the drink contest.  ;D

How cool would it be to have the Halloween rally on Friday the 13th?

Looks like an interesting menu for Saturday night. Don't forget to bring a bag of candy. The kiddos will be trick or treating Saturday afternoon sometime.

I honestly don't know.  I'll call the campground tomorrow, I want to check if they have a schedule for the events yet.

I just heard from my RV mechanic..... My furnace is shot. $1,200 to replace because it isn't a bolt in thing they must modify a bunch of stuff  on top of $700 cost >:(
No thank you.... Guess I will pick up another electric heater for this trip.  I do have a line out to someone who deals with used RV parts and he may have one this weekend. Don't know how much modification will be needed so I don't know how much $$ yet. Either way it won't be done in time for this rally

I will be fine for heat this trip.  I will see what the used parts guy comes up with next week or whenever.  I went to the Christmas tree shops and they had a bunch of Halloween stuff. I need to plan out how I am putting everything.

I've decided the state of my camper is scary enough without the need for decorations  :lmao:

Unless you have stalactites of mold growing from your ceiling, it isn't scary. (the sad part is we know of a camper that is like that)
