If I'm being elected Decorating Chairman (others are welcome to step up) I am picturing the kids walking through a graveyard to get to the candy. That is the picture in my mind.
I have had some things come up and I haven't had a chance to work on my decorations. I will have my wooden tombstones, that I will surround with the 2 1/2 foot tall fence. I need to fix my smoke machine (if others have one, please bring them) to smoke the cemetery.
If anyone is handy and would like to build, or already has a coffin or 2 that would be great. Depending on how much time I have on Sunday when I get home from the MS Bike Ride depends on if I get my coffin made. In a perfect world I would like to have one filled with the candy and have someone reach up underneath to spook the kids. Maybe we can put Bones in the coffin and have the kids reach in for candy.
I guess what we need are Bones, Skulls, Coffins, Headstones.

Hi - this is our first Halloween rally, so a couple questions for the group:
We'd like to add an extra night or two to our trip. Is anyone else arriving Thursday or staying Sunday?
Do we bring candy to pass out?
Thanks!
I have a couple ideas for some games for kids to play while trick-or-treating in costume, similar to a corn-hole game or bowling pins. I'll see what I can get together if you think it would be appropriate.
:smore:.
Here is a typical group rally in the northeast.
Everyone arrives normally on a Friday and there is a group campfire somewhere. (at a gathering site if the group is large enough)
After setting up, bring over a chair and maybe a cold drink and relax.
Saturday and Sunday morning, there is a large coffee pot setup on a timer and is usually ready around 7:30-8am. Bring a coffee cup in your PJs and say hi while starting off the morning slow... if that's your thing.
We sometimes set up an activity during the day Saturday. (OPTIONAL) A group will go kayaking, geocaching, a winery tour, a game of cornhole or bocce ball, etc
Saturday evening we all get together for a potluck dinner at 6pm and campfire to follow. Sometime with a music or trivia game.
If we have a group gathering site, we all pitch in a few bucks to split the cost. Usually about $5 per site. 50 people on my campsite is a lot. :blink1:
During the March and November rally, we have 2 or 3 loads of firewood delivered and we all pick in for the cost. Usually $10-15 per site for the firewood and gathering site. Big groups and big fires 20 hours a day.
2happy campers. We're glad your joining us on this rally. It is lots of fun. Yes, bring candy or something to hand out. I want to say there was a good 50 kids that came through last year. As for kid activities Elmira fudd has some ideas going. Pumpkin carving for older kids painting for younger ones. Also some Pinterest snack ideas that she is doing with ewwbugs and Mrs. LoneLock. Send Elmira a PM

Mom and Dad are coming too! They have joined canvas campers and their screen name is GoingThereAgain. They will Bring an Apple Dessert in the dutch oven. ( Not sure of their site # yet, it is near the pond in a pull thru)
My potluck contribution is unknown at this time, Maybe eyeballs(grapes and/or cherry tomatoes) and fingers(baby carrots) with a dip of ghost cream(ranch dip).
Arrival time also unknown, Have server conversion to oversee in am, when that is done and successful, I can leave.
Butch has an awesome coffin to put the candy in. I have some Bones and Cindy may have a second skeleton we can put in around the candy. I think we need a black tablecloth or something to cover the saw horses. Anyone have anything cool for that?
Is everyone OK with dumping all the candy in the coffin and having the kids pick 2 items?
