It's Back!  The Yuengling Light Lager 5K Jogger.  Reservations start October 01 and it will be sold out in only a few days.

1) Start by posting here if you are interested in attending the group rally and if you are interested in walking/jogging/running the 5K.
2) Reserve your spot for the 5K starting October 01, 2014
3) Book your campground site after the first of the year.  Exact date TBD.  There are many things to do in the area other than the 5K.
4) We will discuss campground, CanvasCampers Group and 5K activities as we get closer.
5) Make memories!

Does any one know how much it cost to register for the race?  Is the course hilly? How far is the race from the camp ground?

The race starts and ends in front of the Yuengling brewery in Pottsville, PA - it's about 20-25 min from the campground.

The race is 3.2 miles and has 3 different blocks that are steep hills. Many walk it.

The cost last year was $40 and it included your registration, a wic-away logo shirt, a 16 oz logo glass, a wrap band, 2 beers at the end of the race and some great memories with a group of new friends.  16 of us (some new, some old) all bought t-shirts and went as superheroes and taking the course at different paces.

We will be camping I don't think we will be running unless I'm chased by a bear but we can go and cheer for moral support or can stay back and baby sit if need be

To add to what vi-king said for those not sure because of pet issues or kids there will be some of us staying back at the camp ground. one family last year was not sure about running do to what to do with there kids. they were able to run because those who stayed back helped watch the kids, everyone than could have fun. if you are going pleas post soon this fills up quickly than post what you are doing.
