Come see the Delaware Seashore in the off season. It is 400 yards from the beach and the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk isn't far away either.
The reason why Mike and I are planning this rally is because we will be doing the MS Bike to the Bay ride on Saturday. You don't have to do the ride to come camp. We camp and it is fun to hang out with friends after the ride.
Mike has MS and this is a fundraiser to raise money for research. It is $35 to register and you need to raise $300 towards MS. This was my first year raising money and I must say, I only fundraised for the 2 months before the ride and I was able to raise close to $500 easily from friends, family, and co-workers.
They have various ride length's depending on your skill level. Mike who has MS will be doing 75 miles with a few of his friends. My Sister and Cindy (Mariska Hargitay) did 45 miles last year and I was scheduled to do 25 miles with my niece and Diane, Mike's wife. This years ride was canceled because of the Flooding at the shore during the Hurricane.

OOh! and Columbus day is Monday Oct 10, so most kids don't have school. Very cool! All campsites are pull thru and full hookups are available. You can walk to the beach and along the inlet. There is some great fishing to be had along the inlet too! Fishing boats are available at the Marina across the inlet, both in the bay/inlet and deep sea. Ocean City MD is not far away if you want to stroll their board walk. Bethany and Rehobeth Beaches also have boardwalks. All have places to shop and eat. The bridge over the inlet is gorgeous at night. It is lit by blue lights along all the cable supports. Really must see at night. One note, no campfires allowed in this campground. Portable propane burners, I have seen fire pit like ones, are permitted. Reservations are on Reserve America.
