Has anyone thought about running the Delaware River that weekend. The pocono pony buses run Saturdays and Sunday. 7am bus ride. 12pm take out at Smithfield or even later. I usually reserve the final trip day overnight to not get pressured during packing up
This weekend in June I have my young girls and would not run the river with them. 12vt boat on flat water lol.
We are staying till Monday as well, unless it calls for rain on Monday. Then will pack up dry and leave late on Sunday.

We are in for rafting . I have been rafting with launders for the last 30 plus years once a year when we do our family camping trip at skinner's falls. It really is a lot of fun you can bring a cooler with some frosty beverages and a sandwich and eat on some big rocks in the middle of the trip. The Delaware is very scenic especially from the waters view, One of the highlights is Narrowsburg is the eagle capitol of the world. Many trips on the river I have seen several bald eagles flying overhead and even baby bald eagles hunting for food along the Delaware river banks . We usually do the trip from skinner's to narrows burg and its about 6.5 miles if the current is strong from the rains it takes about 3 hours with stops along the way for splash and water fights or for a nice cool dip in the Delaware. They have a small country store snack bar at the end where you can get a frozen ice cream bar or beverage for the free shuttle bus back up to skinner's where our cars will be parked.
