Hi JustChillin'
YAY!!!!! So glad you're joining us.  Which 3 days will you be there?

PS -- I had to use your present, so I'm going to get a replacement since I now have a definite date I'll see you!

We will be bringing back the Beer, Wine and a little Moon Shine event at this rally.  On Saturday evening at 8pm, after the normal 6pm potluck dinner, we will be having an adult beverage tasting around the campfire.  If you are interested in joining please bring some of your favorite, funny or local beverages to share.  We will provide sampling cups, ice trays, cork screws, etc.

For anyone not touring the battlefield, we will have card games, mini golf, corn hole and ladder golf around at the campground.

This is a family event with camping, the campfires and potluck dinner so don't hesitate to camp with kids.

There is an arcade, a movie room, hand dipped ice cream, and a lovely creek to play in too! You need a PA state fishing license to fish in the creek.

The list is updated and we're upto 11 sites -- that means our reservations will get the discount which is credited to the balance that will be due that weekend.

Keep sharing the word, the more the merrier!

The Official Visitor's Center of the National Park does have fees for some of it's exhibits and movies. And if you are a AAA member, you get a discount. https://www.nps.gov/gett/plany.....t/fees.htm to check it out.

I think Peter and I are going to try the Ghost Walk. 3 trips to Gettysburg and it's the thing we always say we are going to do and never get it scheduled.

I'm told the Jennie Wade house is a don't miss haunted attraction, by one of my coworkers who always experiences something spooky while there.

Phil - we may be interested in joining you on that one. Were you thinking Friday or Saturday night?

Anyone interested in the 2 hr horseback riding tour of the Battlefield? We're going to be making reservations within the next 2 weeks...let me know if you are interested so we can figure out a time that works for everyone that wants to do this.

If you want to go, this is what I've found out:
$85/person

Tour goes through the Northern and Southern battle lines, which means you can see the start of Picket's Charge from the tree line looking up at the copse of trees.

I know it's just over a month away, but has anyone given any thought to the pot luck?

I'm planning going on a chicken dish. Either balsamic chicken or Apple curry chicken. Going to have mom make carrot cake for dessert 😆

2happycamers and I were talking.  We thought it might be fun to try to do a "north vs south" theme.
