CAMPGROUND
Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. Campers and day-visitors can enjoy the Olympic-size pool, scheduled summer tours through the gorge, tent and trailer campsites, picnic facilities and excellent fishing in nearby Seneca Lake or Catherine Creek, which is renowned for its annual spring run of rainbow trout.

That would work a lot better, but don't change it for us. LOL
We have Hatteras in that time frame every year too. Just busting your chops for my wife.

Two years away...  wow...  I'll mark the calendar and we'll see what happens... Been a few years since we were at Watkins..  I can't confirm anything right now as it will depend on the exact dates, whether I am on regular days off or if I need to bid for vacation time..

Just an FYI ..  Something to look into as the date gets closer..

We did it too, a lot of fun. It was also great to get an on track perspective of something that I've watched on TV a ton of times.

Best Regards,
Norm

Yep, we drove the track, too. Some in our group even pulled their popups behind them. I will definitely keep an eye on this. We camped at the Glen several times & have been wanting to revisit the area.

no, I don't think so.  We need to book this year to go next year, it will sell out quickly.

We can start booking 9 months in advance. So in September 2017 we need to start trying. This is a premium park (was number 3 in the country in a USA Today poll) so it fills up fast. Gary

This park made the top 10 parks in the country. It was the second most visited park in NY. It books up fast.
