Several months prior to this camping trip, we will be planning a group winery tour with a bus if there is enough interest.

[smg id=3438]

We will also be planing a group hiking the beautiful Gorge where the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge.

We are planning a day trip to Niagara Falls (New York side) during the week, less than 3 hours away and the kids have never been there.

Just to confirm,  the camping dates are June 19-26, 2018 and we can start booking on Sept 19, 2017?
This is exciting all there is to do!

Check these out. For the kids and kids at heart. Kind of like Knoebels. Only 35 minutes away.      eldridgepark.org        http://www.harrishillamusement.....

This 1890s Looff carousel was originally brought to Eldridge Park in 1924 by Bob Long. In the late 1980s, the carousel was dismantled and the animals were sold off at auction, leaving only the motor behind. Through the efforts of the Eldridge Park Carousel Preservation Society, this majestic ride was restored and reopened in 2006. It is one of the few remaining carousels in the world with a working ring feeder.

Eldridge park carousel is also one of the faster spinning ones left AND you can still catch rings like Knoebels does.

justchillin: yes, 2018. Reservations go quickly because there is only one electric loop in the park. I believe we want the sites from 76-99 if possible as they are the flat part of the loop (if memory is correct). The other side of the loop is hilly. And farther from the bathhouse/closer to the playground (noise from kids playing).

NYS no longer charges an out of state premium. The residents pay the same now. :'(

I just checked out the reservation link for this one. Looks like we can book 9 months prior to the date.  So by my calcs, that means Sept 18.

Gary or Barb - are my calculations correct? I want to make sure that I put it the calendar so I remember  ;D

That sounds right. You can always reserve for a few days ahead of when you want to be there and after 15 days change the ressie to start on the actual day you want to arrive (If that's still allowed. Please check the rules for clarification).

2Happy Campers is in! And looking forward to the trip.  We like wine tasting, Corning, racetrack tours, basically any and all activities.

Our plan is to camp for a week also.  Not sure yet what we would like to do.  Definitely want to fish/kayak the lake.

My goal in life is to be the person my dog thinks I am.

The time is near!!  For all those hedging on distance a comparison. From Valley Forge, PA is is 4hrs. 1/2 hour longer than going to Raystown lake a couple years ago. Other than the last 17 miles all expressway.

Thingette1 you mention #76-99, but it looks like the rally is suggesting the loop upto #74
