I’m not sure if several people are interested in purchasing and cooking several turkeys for a Thanksgiving dinner as we have in past years?
After 10 years of cooking 46 turkeys or over 736 lbs of meat with the help of a few good friends (chiefbowes, MarcS and samebutdifferent) – I stepped down from cooking birds two years ago.
We will be bringing pineapple stuffing.
We plan to bring a hearty chili and bread. Just Carol and I in site 138.

Cooking is pretty straight forward. Keeping the oil at temp and keeping track of time.
We don’t have the necessary tools (pot, burner, and whatever else) but it those are provided, Patrick and I will help cook the turkeys. We can provide oil and a turkey if needed.
My goal in life is to be the person my dog thinks I am.
Gary is going to bring a fryer, Gwen is bringing oil and I’m bringing propane. We also will bring knives, cutting boards, foil, etc.
Jen, Becky and Gwen, if you bring your turkeys completely thawed, we can cook them fresh. Bringing them in a cooler in ice water or a brine would be best.
Barb’s dad is smoking 2 birds also. Becky, if you have a roaster to warm his… great.
Rob, Bob, Jodi… We can use some help with cooking if anyone is interested? Gary and I are getting old.
We do NOT need any tables since we are using the pavilion. Tablecloths are always nice.
Firewood is ordered.
