I like many of these PA rallys that you post, not too far for me and nice places that I haven't been before.  I will keep this one in mind but I can't commit this early.....but I will start dropping hints to Lori  😉

If it is, this is one I will really try to get to.  All year long my events have prevented me from making it to a rally.  October should be good for me.  Heck, I haven't even camped much.  I am so desperate that I may camp in July (depending on the weather, I hate the heat).

October is my kind of camping weather.  Just enough chill in the morning air to keep you under the covers yet it should warm up so you can get away with a sweatshirt or light jacket during the day.  Then the nightly fire will provide warmth before you crawl into bed.

I was talking with Lori last night about our fall schedule and when we can camp.  We are going to skip the November Thanksgiving Rally since there is a possibility that it will be chilly (I wonder if she will let me go alone :dunno: ) and head to this fall foliage rally in October.

Unfortunatly with our house on the market we won't be booking this until the last minute just in case we have to move.  I like knowing a trip is booked.  We are going to go to the West Chester KOA in 2 weeks to take advantage of the BOGO offer and that isn't actually booked yet  :idiot2:

Lori just put in to have that Friday off so we can pick Nathan up at noon and head up there while he naps.  We are still going to wait awhile to book.  We have to see what happens with selling our house.  We had an "interested" party last week but we haven't heard anything since. :-

Anybody looking for a 2 bedroom ranch in Downingtown PA??????

Sorry we won't be able to make it - we have 2 weekends already booked in October and it would be tough with our existing obligations.  I know that socially everyone will be happy and glad to get together; please post about your particular site attributes!

The Klass family will probably be cancelling out on this rally. I recently returned to work following a LOA.  I  just found out today that many of my co-workers are participating in the breast cancer walk in my honor on October 15th. They have asked me to join them. They have done so much for me over the last several weeks and so I really feel that I should attend. I will miss seeing all of you.  :'( Looking forward to our rally in September at Lake Glory.  🙂

I just booked site 45.  It looked like there were only 2 pet sites left so I wanted to make sure Basil  :dog: could come along.  It turns out there are more pet sites available, they just don't have the dog icon on the map.  Oh well, DW gave the OK to book it and I did.

I am really looking forward to this.  Nathan should have a blast (me too)

I am sitting here showing Lori where our campsite is and we are looking at a few things on the website.  One of the things we are looking at are the trails, which ones we might attempt to hike.  There 13 miles of trails here but they are not rated like at other SP's.  Easy, Moderate, More Difficult, Most Difficult.

So, has anyone hiked these trails before?  We would like to check out the change in the leaves but we need to be able to push a jogging stroller with a 2 year old (OK, he won't be 2 for another 2 weeks).  We should be able to handle a moderate trail but would prefer an easy trail.  We can't scale any boulders or handle any deep washouts or stairs with the stroller.  I am thinking of the Frances Slocum trail, the Lake Shore trail, or the campground trial.

So, we have an idea for the dinner at this rally.  We want to do a Pasta, Passion and Pistols Murder Mystery Pot Luck.  This is an interactive murder mystery party in which the guests for the evening become characters suspected of the crime in question.  The crime must be solved before the evening is out.  It is in each guest's interest to prove their innocence by interrogating their fellow suspects until the murder is exposed.

There are eight characters in all - six suspects and two extra guests (four men and four woman).  Additional people can play by interviewing the 8 suspects. Costumes optional.

When the guests have all assembled, each one receives a character booklet and be asked to spend a few minutes reading the rules of the game and the introduction page.  You cannot read past the STOP Notice at the bottom of the page.  After everyone has absorbed the information, each one will introduce themselves as the character they play, using the facts listed in the "what the world sees".
Example:

    [li]Jim Miller[/li]
    [li]self employed[/li]
    [li]divorced[/li]
[li]spent four months in jail for taxes[/li]
    [li]a ladies man[/li]

We will then play a DVD (on my laptop) where the narrator will reveal the crime and set the scene.  Through dinner and the evening, we will have 3 rounds of clues and questions and then we can each reveal our options as to the identity of the murderer.

Please post if you are interested in playing?

It sounds very interesting.  If there is a part for the parents of a young child who leave abruptly at 7pm possibly putting their child to bed.... or could they be stalking their next victim....Lori and would have to decline from participating.

It sounds like an awesome idea, I have always wanted to go to one of those mystery dinner theaters, but with Nathan we would prefer to be back at our site in our camper shortly after it gets dark, if not before.  We do not want our timeline interfere with your "Campground dinner theater"

We have cancelled our reservation to camp, but hoping to come up for the dinner. The murder mystery dinner sounds great. Hoping to be able to join in. Will keep you posted.
