WOW!! All I did was timidly post the question would there be any interest in going to Lake Glory in September and look what happened. Lots of enthusiastic members reserving sites, talking about a 6'4' big kid with a cowboy hat on riding the Merry-Go-Round :cowboy:,wet T-shirt contests on the log ride :D, hamsters chasing each other on a wheel :tease:and of course hooters. 8) You are right JoeCamper, be careful what you wish for. I am glad this wish is coming true.
I was talking with Joe about this yesterday and I was getting interested in this trip but I just checked out the website for Knoebels. Nathan will still be too young for the kiddie rides :'( We will have to wait until Nathan gets a little older, he will only be 2 by then. This sounds like a good trip for next year for us.

Wish we could go 🙁 but a group of us will be in VT at a friends house riding our bikes & peeping at the leaves.
We used to take the kids there when they were young and well the biggest kid, Dad, just loves that old coaster!!!
We seemed to have missed this last year also. Is it always the third weekend in September?

Looks like there are still three sites left. My first trip to Knoebels Park was last September with several of the CanvasCampers members. The park, as many described to me, is like a step back in time. Just a great family oriented place. You will have to watch for a certain :cowboy:, who will remain nameless, when your kids ride the carousel with the copper ring grab. This :cowboy: frightens the children with his big cowboy hat and holster belted at his waist with a Matt Dillon original gun inside. He grabbed all of the rings while the other children were crying for their parents. Several of the members went to the Bloomsburg Fair on Friday and Saturday as well. They brought back stories of people watching, the Penn State homemade ice cream, and tons of other great food, and vendors selling their hand crafted wares. We all had a great time at the Lake Glory campsite. With everyone busy going to the Bloomsburg Fair and Knoebels, we still managed to have two gatherings around an evening fire. This year, we are planning to have a potluck breakfast on Saturday morning. More will be posted about this in a few weeks. If anyone would like to post some ideas for the breakfast, please do so. My family is not huge breakfast eaters, so ideas and recipes are welcome. Hope to see all of the sites filled.
I'm calling upon the assistance from all you CanvasCampers who attended the 2010 Camp Glory rally. Would appreciate your contribution of stories relating to camping at Lake Glory, day at Knoebels and the Bloomsburg Fair. I'm picking on the poor :cowboy: too much. I know there are other stories to tell. If my memory serves me correctly, there were some great stories about the log ride and laser tag. Would appreciate your contribution.
