Calling all of my No. GA peeps!  Who has kayaked (or canoed) the Etowah River mine tunnel?  I have only recently been made aware of this and I'm BURNING UP to do it!  Who has the locations to put in/take out and the closest campground when you do it?  This looks SO AWESOME!

WHOOP WHOOP!  😀

That looks awesome but I think I would wear my bike helmet, that's a low clearance!

Chrispy, I thought the same thing.  I watched several videos and NO ONE wore a helmet.  The tunnel is only 7 feet and one writeup said that you'll "quickly learn that a paddle is mostly good for knocking your teeth out."

Man, it just sounds so awesomely intense!

Only that one guy from the research group had a head lamp and wore a helmet.  WOW! That's a cool paddle. It looks like I would only have to steer and the current would pull me along. What a thrill. It's in Dawson County. I'll look up more info.  ;D
