I bought a set of kayak grips last year before kayak the 112 mile Schuylkill River Sojourn. Not sure if I'd need them but had never kayaked that far. It takes a little time to get them set in the right location but work great. They are a gel neoprene material. You guy can try them this coming weekend at Raystown.

They're called Yakgrips. You can order them online or at many kayak stores. $12...ish
