Anybody else a sweeper? Any good finds?

I know SC state parks expressly prohibits metal detecting without authorization. If you should find something it belongs to the state.

I've never seen anything one way or another for VA or NC.

For what it's worth, the best we've ever found was some change and a beat up watch.

I have a Garrett Ace 250 but like you I find it hard to find a place to sweep. Here in Oklahoma I have always wanted to sweep along the Canadian River which was a major highway for the land run, along with some of the Indian movements (trail of tears,etc.)

I did find mention for NC's SPs no removing of artifacts.

About 4 summers ago NC was in a terrible state of drought. I had often thought of taking my metal detector out through the then dried up wetlands/swamps. How I wish now I had.
