I think that is incorrect - I have checked quite a few policies for RV and they ALL disallow coverage for the awning.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything that they have!

I have had 2 friends that had damage to their awnings, and the insurance covered it after they paid the deductible.
