Wow.....
1) Favorite feature .... I guess the large slideout because what we like best is the space inside. Room for us, the dogs. We still spend as much time as possible outside but when the weather turns bad we can still be very comfortable.
2) I don't know of any options that we don't have and I would like, it has pretty much everything that I can think of
3) No mods yet, we have tons of closet space and I would like to make a couple of the closets more useful by adding shelves. They currently have hanging type racks in them....we don't take alot of hanging clothes when we camp! I don't hang up my tshirts!!
1. our 23SS also has a large 12' superslide. that and the large amount of counterspace were the top favorite features of ours.
2. we didn't get a slide topper initially. big mistake! it would have been much cheaper to get one installed before we signed the papers. also, we wouldn't have ordered heated mattresses but ours already had them and they are worth every penny!
3. added a power tongue jack, homemade wheel chocks, solar blankets for the tops of the bunk ends and aluminum-backed foam for under the mattresses.
1. my favorite feature is the oven.
2. I would love to have a two bowl sink. I probably will install one.
3. I have done many many mods to my camper. Some as simple as adding hooks to hang dog leashes, pot holders, coats, etc. A few of the unique mods are making the screen door a double "pane" storm door. Prying the board over the top of the front storage area, attaching a piano hinge to it so I can access the storage area from inside the trailer and put larger items in the storage area. Here is a partial list.
Front stabilizing jacks, outside shower, storage tube on the bumper for a longer sewer hose, storage tube on the front for roasting sticks, pie irons, etc. Plug saver, permanently attached awning deflappers, carpet on step, ac heat strip, 12 volt outlets in the ceiling for fan/light combos, small lights that come on when you open the cupboards and I put 2 in the fridge. I added a magnetic door holder to the side of the camper so I can just pull the door shut without going outside to unlatch the regular door holder. I put a simple hook and eye to "lock" the screen door from inside. It will stop a child or dog from opening the screen door. I installed a thermometer sensor in the until and one outside. i have two receiving units inside and I can check the temperature from either sensor from either receiver. Shelves, bins, and boxes to organize the cupboards. In the bathroom I installed a shower surround, chrome hooks, two towel racks, moved the toilet paper holder, flipped the medicine cabinet over so the door opens the other direction. I installed a paper towel holder to the bottom of the medicine cabinet.
1. Our favorite thing is the bunk room in the back with 4 bunks, one for each kiddo 🙂
2. We would have liked a slide out for a bit more floor space but we managed just fine with our PUP and rarely are all just hanging out inside. So not a biggie.
3. So far we haven't done any mods because we just purchased it fall 2010. But I'm sure we'll start a list after our first trip this season.
1. What is your favorite option/feature in your hybrid camper?
Still has canvas, but there is no crancking up and down at every set up. Just pull open and stretch the canvas. Also, has lots of space once the super slideout is open, the boys can sit on the floor and play while DW cooks and no one trips over each other.
2. What option do you wish you had or could change on your hydrid?
Kitchen Counter space
3. What have you modified or added to customize your camper?
Closet -> changed from hanging rod to three home made shelves converting the closet into 4 cubbies (one for each).
Reflectix -> added at bunk ends and under mattress.
Gas Tank -> added plastic cover and secure with bongie during travel.
Bike Rack -> added bike rack to rear bunker, over spare tire.
1. Favorite feature I guess is counter space, but storage space is a close second.
2. We have everything available on ours but if I could just change one thing it would be to have a tub vs the corner shower. It was so much easier to keep the shower curtain in and easier to bathe DGD.
3. So far have just added hooks for decor, towel rack that hangs over the door, but there are a few things we want to do when we get it back.
