Bon Bini Everyone !!!!
I used to work at the Caribbean Beach Resort at Disney and we had to say Bon Bini as a greeting to everyone. It was supposed to mean Hello or Welcome or something like that. It didn't go over to well, they were hoping it would come across like Aloha when you walked into the Polynesian Resort. Enough useless info.
I have decided to join up to see what's going on here. I never did an introductory post on the other website so I'll do it here.
Hi, I'm Matt and I have a popup. I camped for years in a tent with the Boy Scouts. I have a 1 year old son and I am not enthused about sleeping on the ground again when he gets into Scouting (but I will do it). My wife and I bought a starter popup 3 years ago for $600 to make sure DW could tolerate it before we spent more money. We upgraded last year to a larger popup for more $$$ and DW is tolerating it better. I think I will have to upgrade again to a HTT in order for her to start actually enjoying it. Oh well, I don't mind spending money 😉
Why Lone Lock?????
Just this past weekend DW and I drove 2 vehicles to NJ and we had 2 way radios going 'cause she has never driven to my mothers house alone. I started calling her "Hot Mama" and told her to call me Lone Lock. That was my CB handle in High School. "Lone" as in Lone Ranger and "Lock" as in Polock since I am Polish. She thought it was dumb and said Polish Ranger made more sense. So just to resurrect Lone Lock again I decided to bring it back.

Thinking back, Lone Lock probably also came from Lone Star in Spaceballs as well, I love that movie and used to watch it in all the time. "I am your brother's newphew's cousin's former roommate...Whats that make us....Absolutely nothing"

It has been 1 1/2 years since I "Introduced" myself here. I figure I'd bring it up again to reintroduce myself to some people who have joined since then.
Update on the bio stuff.....My son is now 2 1/2 and talking/mumbling up a storm. He follows me everywhere when I do stuff around the house :hardhat: He gets his tool kit out and "helps" me :baseballhat: I can't wait to take him camping. I think we are starting the really fun stage of life. DW and I moved to an awesome new house that has a 2 car garage. The pup went in the garage before my wife's car :cowboy: DW's car did make it into the garage but now there is a bunch of stuff on and around the pup....gotta take care of that soon.

Matt,
Our grandson is about the same age as your son -- he'll turn 3 in May. We took him on his first camping trip at about 9 weeks. His daddy camped at 7 weeks. Having a little person along makes a camping trip even more special!
We went to a garden show over the weekend and when he saw RVs in the parking lot he told us he wants to go to grandpa's "camper house."

Nathan was 7 months old on his first trip to Gettysburg. DW is not as excited as I am to camp, she tolerates camping. I didn't even dream of mentioning camping before he was 6 months old.

Before our grandson was born our DIL wouldn't camp. After Brady was born she got a little antsy at home with him and agreed to go with us. They go about once a month with us now and really enjoy it.
Of course it helps that grandma puts him to sleep when we're camping ... 😉
This was Brady's first camping trip.
