Just spent 6 and 5 in the Pets & Electric Loop (Acorn Run) of the Shad Landing section of Pokomoke River State Park, near Snow Hill, MD.
Granted, it was Sunday through Friday, and, perhaps, a maximum of 12 of the 30 sites were occupied at any given time. Still, there were dogs and rug rats.
And, WE DIDN'T HEAR A THING!!! I have never seen such well-behaved dogs and kids in my life. Absolutely amazing. It was a little slice of Heaven on Earth.
Why can't they all be that way? Oh, sorry; don't want to start THAT thread again!

I so want to take my wife camping Sunday-Thursday. I am sure it is a completely different experience from the weekend.
Oh, it surely is! Far fewer pests, but it can still be buggy.... Less crowded, less noisy, less hassle, better choice of campsites. Maria and I both have Maryland Golden Age Passes, and Sunday through Thursday nights are half price for us!!!
It's great to be driving down there when all the traffic is coming back up here -- in the other lanes! -- and then to be driving home when all the traffic is going the other way, again!
We do miss events; let's face it, the event planners want maximum crowds, so the events are on weekends. Oh, well, <sigh> one can't have everything. It's still very nice.
