What kind of paint for exterior?

My daughter wants to do some decorating on the outside of our little cargo trailer. What kind of paint is recommended? I want it to be durable, and there has to be a good selection of colors for her to choose from. Thanks for any suggestions!

She wants to cover the sides and back with a painted mural. She already showed me the sketches and it's an AWESOME design. The paints should be something she can dip a brush into, and perhaps even mix on a palette, rather than spray paints.

You should be fine using exterior latex paint.
