I just got my hands on a battery operated dusk to dawn motion sensor light that I am going to mount in my RV somewhere. I am camping this weekend so I am going to test it out to find the best location that will turn on when I walk in and it goes on or when I get up in the middle of the night I don't have to find a flashlight, it just goes on. I had one in the hallway of my house and I loved it!!!! Somehow it got lost. I suspect my 4yo son picked it up and played with it. I'll find it under his bed in a few months 😛

I'm working on 12 Volt outlet and voltmeter. This is the first irreversible mod.
For what it's worth... for camping without hookups I have a second battery with a 400 watt inverter in a battery box. I bought a trailer connector and put a pigtail on it with Anderson Powerpoles. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A....._Powerpole). Both the spare battery and the pup battery have a pigtail with Anderson Power Poles.
So at night, the pup battery does essential things like led lights, water pump, furnace fan.
Out in the truck, the entertainment battery is disconnected from the truck, the inverter running and makes ac for laptop or tv with an extension cord stuck into the pup.
Daytime out running around in the truck, inverter off, battery connected to and charging from the truck.
If I stay longer than the pup battery lasts, I can take the entertainment battery out of the truck and connect to the pup battery.
Now all this is suboptimal. The truck only provides about 13.2 volts, so running around for a few hours I might get the entertainment battery up to 80-90%. Then at night, if the pup battery was down to 50%, it would equalize to 65-70%. But... I have some extended dry camping capability.

Hello all,
Been a busy spring, as soon as it warmed up enough here to work anyway. I have been looking high and low to find what would work best for my family's needs on extended trips. I would like to thank everyone for info and ideas as I have used a few of them with more to come!
This years list:
Hung dowels under bunk end for wet clothes/towels as Thing 1 and Thing 2 can find water and dirt anywhere.
Wire shelf system in galley to add more shelf space.
Converted awning legs to attach back to camper sides to get anchor ropes out of the way.
Built portable toilet into a not so often used seat to hide it away.
I will try to post pictures soon.
