If you look to lubricate the zipper on your canvas for a smooth open and close, try the MOPAR zipper lubricate. You can find or ordering to a Chrysler/jeep dealer. It comes in a small can (2 ozs I believe) and you have a brush on the top that helps to clean the zipper and apply the lubricant.
If you have a Jeep Wrangler like me, it works too on canvas top zippers.

I wish I knew about zipper lube when I had my Wrangler.  I got pissed and just bought new windows.

Its a silicone/graphite mixture.

You can also get "zipper" wax from any Scuba Diving Shop. Its used on dry suits and looks like a candle stick wax. There is also a special silicone sprayy from Dive shops that works on the zippers and unlike the lube silicone you might use on the lifter arms, this type is non staining. Its sometimes called Wetsuite zipper spray.
