Lori and I brought our 2 1/2 year old son to DUTCH WONDERLAND in Lancaster PA a few weeks ago for the day. Nathan LOVED it  It truly is a Kingdom for kids. I would recommend this to anyone with a kid 7 and under. Any older and I think it would depend on the particular kid. All of the rides are kid friendly :baseballhat: It was only $40 and I felt it was well worth it. They do have ticket packages with Hershey Park as well......but I have a 2yo so I'll be sticking to Dutch Wonderland for the next few years.
While we were there on the monorail we saw that they had a campground right next door!!!. OLD MILL STREAM CAMPGROUND is right next door!!! They have water and electric sites for $40 with 2pm check in. Dutch wonderland has a deal where basically if you buy a ticket for all day on Saturday, you can go in for the last few ours on Friday. Sounds like a good deal to me. Ride a few rides after you set up (or send DW and DS to the park while I set up and have a cold one  )
Now it is a private campground with few amenities but it is right next to Dutch Wonderland!!! That is why I'd be there. They do also have other stuff in the area. Millers Buffet wasn't far away and I think the Dutch Apple Dinner theater is nearby as well...Awesome Buffet and a Play for $50.
Lori and I were talking about going in September sometime......anyone interested in joining us? We will probably take my 7 year old nephew with us as well.

DW and I are thinking about taking DS to Dutch Wonderland this Sunday. We are checking on a few things and then we may book for Sat and Sun night.
Anyone interested in joining us?
I know it is a Holiday weekend, but we are thinking that since there isn't anything at this campground other than Dutch Wonderland that it will be filled with kids, not drinkers.

I am here......here being 50 yards from a Dutch Wonderland roller coaster. I can't complain. If I wanted peace and tranquility I would have chosen to go to a State Park. There are sections of the campground that aren't right next to the roller coaster, we just lucked out :goodstuff: Since it is a kiddie theme park it closes by 8:30pm.
The park looks real nice. Mix of gravel and paved roads. Some really nice buildings and the bathhouse......immaculate. My wife is in love with it. She doesn't hear the roller coaster at all. She loves the clean, new bathhouse and the grass that is around the camper.....she has a thing about grass and camping :dunno: . If we have to do a few private campgrounds, we may have to so that she gets her grass and super clean bathhouse.
Of course we are packed in close. DW doesn't exactly like that but again, I am not complaining, I chose to camp here and knew what I was getting. I do not hear any loud parties and at 9:45 it seems really quiet.
