What was your favorite trip this past year?
For me I really enjoyed going to the Killens Pond Rally in DE. It was awesome weather. It was summer but not brutally hot. It was the first time I had been to that State Park Campground and it was nice. DW was with me and was a happy camper (she doesn't like camping and doesn't come with me often) and my Sister and her family tented with us as well. The pool was awesome, DS had a great time at the splashground and kid slides. They had seperate stuff for the older kids as well. For dinner we had the Low Country Boil that was sooooo yummy....in fact I am attending the promised land rally next summer because that is where the group is going to do the Low Country Boil again.
I enjoyed myself on all of the trips that I was on, with and without the group, but Killens Pond Rally in DE was my favorite this past year. What was your favorite trip this past year and what made it special?

This was my first year camping with the group. I had a great experience every month and can't wait until next year. My favorite trip was the Thanksgiving rally. It was amazing to see everyone come together and help out for our final trip of the season. I know Joe puts so much love and effort into this all and it great to see everyone help out and make it so special. Thank you everyone for a great season! See you all in March.
We went to Dover speedway in June. It was very noisey and no hookups but otherwise the family had a great time. We could walk to the track every day. My son keep very busy having lots of fun even being able to go down and walking around the track. I thought I could get away with just using my battery for our popup but I soon found out otherwise. So when we go back in June again I will be sure to have a generator.
We spent a week at Raystown Lake right after Easter and it was great! Had the campground mostly to ourselves so it was like heaven. A close second is a 4th of July trip to French Creek SP. Got an unexpected call from my brother. Their tow vehicle was out of commission and there was an extra camping space they had so I got to camp with my brother, sister-in-law, niece and her family, and others....hadn't done that in over 20 years.
My goal in life is to be the person my dog thinks I am.
Our favorite trip was to Henderson Beach SP in Destin, FL, in March (and a re-visit in November). We bought shrimp and muscles from a seafood store on the main strip, went back to the warmth of the camper and prepared a delicious lunch. Liked it so much, we went out again and bought more shrimp for dinner. We love the peace and quiet (and excellent privacy) of this SP with a 1/4 mile walk on a cement path to the boardwalk over the dunes to the sugar sand beach. Just outside the park and across the highway is just about every store, restaurant, mini golf, and tee shirt shop imaginable if you want to be a sightseer! About 30 miles in to the west is historic Pensacola and the fort and east about 40 miles is Panama City Beach with lots of beachy stuff.
Assateague Island National Seashore, last week of June 2014. Hubby, oldest son, and myself had time off from work/college; youngest son just finished junior year of high school. We were all blessed with good health; the weather couldn't have been better (gentle as far as wind, temperature, and precipitation). I'm so thankful that we had such a wonderful time.
