Next weekend, March 22,  we'll be heading out for our first trip of 2013, (and our second trip in our new TT). Heading over to Breman, Georgia to Jellystone Park.  Not really the type campground we prefer  but it's a quick trip, close by. There will be plenty for DGD to do and they're having an easter egg hunt too.  We always start her Spring break with a camping trip.

Come join us!  Look for "Hilton's Hideaway" and that's where you'll find us.

I have read a bit about Jellystone parks.....They are basically a waterpark with lots to do and all is included but the per night cost is high, correct?  Please take pictures and let me know how it goes.  I have a 3 year old and was thinking about heading to a jellystone one of these days.

Matt, the one we are heading to is about 3 years old, which means it was recently built, so there's a lack of trees  . This one does have a pool and lots of things for the kids to do (pedal cars, hayrides, movie night, crafts $$, and a resident tortise and hare. Check out their webpage http://www.campjellystone.com .  Some have been around for a while and are pretty wooded with lot more activities. My thinking is Jellystone is strictly geared for families with kids.  My joy is knowing my DGD and her friend will have a good time.  I'll report back and let you know........

I was thinking about a quick trip to our local Jellystone on April 6/7. Our Jellystone is fairly cheap till like late May. Then it gets costly quick. Spring is the only time I camp at Jellystone here. Summer is too costly, then they close up in real early fall, because they convert that CG to a winter wonderland drive thru exhibit for Christmas.
This park has a pool, but that is it as far as a waterpark is concerned. They have a train/wagon ride, movie nights, cartoon afternoons, ETC. We dont have any youngins, but we still enjoy the activities.

We've never been to a Jellystone, we are mainly State Park campers.  Seems like you know exactly what to expect when you go to one.  And there is a lot for the kids to do.  Have fun.

We usually camp at state parks and COE CG.  We are pretty spoiled by the COE since DH can get the 50% senior discount.  I choked a bit when I made our reservations for 2 nights and topped out at over $80 and that was with a military discount.

[shrugs]  Hey, it's a waterpark!  [/shrugs]

We camped the weekend of the 9th-10th.  It's not too early in Georgia!  I hope you and your DGD have a great trip, missnanc.

Well I hope the storms from yesterday have passed through for the last time! A sprinkle I won't mind.
