Good to meet Judy and Al this weekend at Kings Mountain State Park in South Carolina.  Hope to join the group in north Georgia sometime.

That looks like a great time.  Someone needs to explain to me this picture.

What is it, how did you cook it, etc?
It's making me hungry!

Ok, I really like this idea.  So 4 people each brought a crab pots and propane burners.  Did each person bring 1 ingredient and you split them between pots and 1 person handle all the food and split the cost with everyone?  There is a lot of food on that table.

Joe, we had over 33 sites reserved by members of different internet forums.........PUP,Carolina Campers Facebook, Carolina Campers Too Meetup, CanvasCampers, and Southeast Campers Dutch Oven group.  Over 60 folks ate at the low country boil Saturday afternoon, including the Boy Scouts who were also at the campground, and the Campground Hosts. We had an ongoing updated list on another forum, with what folks were bringing. Over half brought food for the pots. It was prepped, and divided between the 4 pots.  Some of the same ones, and MANY others brought desserts, drinks, spoons, etc.  We had plenty of everything.  Even had baggies on the table for take home.

It was a fantastic meal with so much good stuff to eat! We really had a great time and were very lucky the weather held off with rain. Glad for the campfire circles though!

You know, bud121156, that the road runs both ways. It was less than 4 hrs. for us to drive over there (gas and pitstops included), so we hope some of the Carolina and SE DOG members will turn westward and join us over here in September for the Southeast (Fall) Group Rally. Thanks again for the hospitality and for inviting us in the first place. (Tell Larry we enjoyed his YouTube video and sorry we missed the guitar/banjo music.)

Thanks for the kind words. I've had interest in those north Georgia parks, just off I-85.  If your not far off the beaten path, might get down that way sometime.

Don't want to hijack this thread, but that Low Country Boil is delicious. I read the recipe last year either on here or the PUP. We tried it while camping on vacation last summer & it has become a family favorite!

Oh, you're not hijacking! We had one of our GA rally guys bring that a few years back and it was terrific. It was great to see the four turkey fryers boiling away and knowing we would all have a great meal. Folks also brought sides and desserts, some of them Dutch Oven treats!

Hey, Jimmy! The Boils were done by Donnie (bud121156), Darrin (don't think he's on here - yet - and a couple of other Carolina boys. I remember your delish Low Country Boil from one of our earlier rallies and you would have feet right at home with the Carolina Campers!

The DO goodies were great too.
