Barb and I visited after last year. i revisited our notes as we toured the park. The point loop is the smaller of the two. With only 43 sites and only 9 with water access. the Senoia loop there are over 80 sites and 25 with water access.

I just checked Reserve America, we can start booking this around Feb 7. This loop isn't that large, and the sites down by the water always book fast...

For those that remember, Hey All!!!!!!!  I am thinking this would be a great time for Bev and I to hook up with you guys again!  That is if we are allowed to hang out with you even though we no longer have any canvas except for our awning?

Nathan and I had a blast last time we were at Raystown lake!!!

I don't know what DW and I are going to be doing for vacation in 2018.  BIL and SIL invited everyone to Jamaica for their 15th wedding anniversary...DW said we aren't going so we spent the vacation fund on a new driveway and were going to camp for vacation....now DW is feeling guilty that its her only sister so now Jamaica is being considered but we spent the $$$.

Our driveway is really nice  :hardhat:

We had a ball when we there. If we go it will be for a shorter time because of our time at Watkins Glen.

The water front sites are very difficult to reserve at Seven Points due to the high demand. So everyone that is interested in going to this rally needs to really keep an eye on the calendar - Feb 7 is only 3 weeks away !

We are also looking to see if we can secure our kayaks down at the Marina, just in case we can't get water front sites. Stay tuned for more information on that topic - I will post up as soon as I hear back from the Marina.

Booking time for this group rally is coming upon us quickly.  We are talking to the campground about reserving several sites on the water for kayak/boat access.  If you are interested in attending, please post here with the days you prefer?

Getting ready to make a reservation.....are we doing Point Camp or Seno?  The start of the thread says Point but the map that I got to from the main page said Seno and had campsites from that loop.  I plan on reserving early then changing later.  Likely planning Thursday to Sunday.

We are changing to Seno Loop since there are more waterfront sites.

So I'm looking at the reservation site, figuring to book Aug. 4th thru 12th and then go back and cancel the first part of the week.  For that time frame, the only sites available in Senioa loop are 238 to 259 or so.  Maybe if I check in again tomorrow to try and just get one weekend out of the reservation, something else will come up but these sites don't flag as waterfront.  Are we still going to book this area of Seven Points?

There are 4 people trying to book waterfront sites as different ones come available daily and have had NO success.

We are going to continue to try to get 2-3 waterfront sites over the next 3 days for kayak storage and water access.  If we can't we will be moving this group rally.  We spoke to the campground and then is no place to store or lock up kayaks except with a waterfront campsite and we often have 12-18 boats.

This campground might NOT work for our group. frown

Ok.  That was utter BS!  I stalked a campsite that said would a available on the water but the website said I could not book until 10am.  At 9:57am I tried but it still said wait until 10am.  At 10am precisely I pushed the "book this site" button and I get a message that says inventory is not available.  When I go load the dates again, there are no water sites available when before at least 5 were listed.  How do people gets these sites?  This is why we've gone to the resort in the past.

They must be using the same reservation system that Florida State Parks use.  Same experience right down to the "inventory is not available" message!
