I have bought several sets of tires and auto batteries from Sears.
I have had very good experiences with them.
I recently ordered a set of BF Goodrich Commercial TA's from their website. When they arrived at the shop, I had them install them. The techs had not seen these tires before and were quite interested in them. The tires are load range E, made in the USA and cost less than what the other big brands are asking for a similar tire. 
 
IMO, it would have been best to use this "article" to inform the readers about buying tires for TV's based on facts and then in a separate post, bash Sears tire shop.
