We are working on releasing the first phase of the campground database here on CanvasCampers and I have a question... if you were going to use it to find your next campground, what options would you be looking for?

name, address, phone number, email, web site............. and?

Well what I personally would like to see are the below elements.

Returned results:
. Campground name
. Address and phone
. Some type of rating (1-10)
. Rating comments

Searchable:
Name:
State:
Rating:

Now I realize there would be some back coding to get rating on the average but I think it would be worth the effort to some type of rating like ebay fair and by the campers of this forum upon entry.

Also maybe a random, meaning im looking for a campground in NY and I just want a rating of 7 or greater.

You asked!!! 🙂

How about a general list of amenties.  Pool, Mini Golf, Propane, etc

There should be a rating for the over all CG and one for the bathrooms. Also, a comment area.

A rating system that evaluates the campground's cleanliness would be helpful; recommendations of the most private/scenic sites would be appreciated. 

It would also be nice to know what attractions (nature trails, historic sites, etc.) are within/near the campground.

We are often trying to see where campgrounds are located in relation to the area.  Can you include Google maps showing the campground location?

Is there a camp store/how's the prices (some want to make all of your money theirs)
rate the camp ground staff interactions/friendliness
how's the grading of the site's
