The servers that operate CanvasCampers are located in my office in Hammonton, NJ - which is only 15 miles from Atlantic City, NJ. Hurricane Sandy is expected to make s direct hit on the coast of NJ and the area is already under mandatory evacuation. They are expecting major down trees and have advised everyone in the area to plan for power, telephone and Internet outages possibly as long as 3-5 days.
Though the offices have battery power, generator power, the fact is if the lines to the Internet go down, there isn't much we can do. Our connections are both Cable and FIOS, but they all come into the town the same way (on poles).
We will do our best, but understand if the site becomes unavailable, chances are it will be more than just a few hours outage.

I am totally surprised the site is still running - the Hurricane is about 30 minutes away from landfall. My office is in Hammonton (15 minutes from Atlantic City). I live (and typing this) in Paulsboro, NJ which is on the Delaware River very close to Philadelphia. Wind is at 55 MPH currently.

I'm back! 😉 It's still raining but the worst is over. The electric is out and expected to be for 3-4 days, the backyard is now a pond (I need to get some fish). I found 1 kayak but might have lost another, also missing some patio furniture. New stuff should be on sale this time of the year.
The generator is running so I have 2 lights, a tv and now internet. No water in the basement. The buddy heater is my heat source and I have no water. Might be to start spraying Febreze by tomorrow. ;D
Everyone is safe, which is all that matters, even though the Abby is going crazy.
At home living near the refineries, we rarely have to worry about power (there are 5 substations within 2 miles), so we are good on power. No water in the basement, lost a few roof shingles.
My Popup might have an issue, there were a bunch of very large tree branches resting against the roof. Its still too windy to open it up, but I don't see any obvious holes. Either way, its well insured if it comes to that.
In my office where the servers are, we do have water - almost 2ft, but the servers are rack mounted and way above the water (I just can't get to them), so far so good.

Glad to hear you guys (or NJ - youse guys) are okay. I checked on a niece in Rockport Center, Long Island, via her mom today. They don't have power either but all's okay there. Slowly, folks we know all over the affected areas are checking in and most have no damage, thank goodness.
We still have strong wind gusts here in NW GA and so many leaves on the ground. DH still can't understand why there are still so many left on the trees! He went out to take little branches and loads of leaves off his car and finally put an old bedspread on his windshield to keep the leaves out of the sunroof and area at the bottom of the windshield - held in place by campfire logs!
